It’s strange to think about it now, but I’m pretty sure that for the first eighteen years of my life, the entire universe of charts consisted of three, and only three, things. Each item is photographed in a slightly surreal, perfectly lit diorama, a miniature world where the toys are always new, the batteries are never dead, and the fun is infinite. The images are not aspirational photographs; they are precise, schematic line drawings, often shown in cross-section to reveal their internal workings.
