Solace London Size Chart. Beauty, clarity, and delight are powerful tools that can make a solution more effective and more human. An educational chart, such as a multiplication table, an alphabet chart, or a diagram of a frog's life cycle, leverages the principles of visual learning to make complex information more memorable and easier to understand for young learners. The creative brief, that document from a client outlining their goals, audience, budget, and constraints, is not a cage. Learning about concepts like cognitive load (the amount of mental effort required to use a product), Hick's Law (the more choices you give someone, the longer it takes them to decide), and the Gestalt principles of visual perception (how our brains instinctively group elements together) has given me a scientific basis for my design decisions.

If you were to calculate the standard summary statistics for each of the four sets—the mean of X, the mean of Y, the variance, the correlation coefficient, the linear regression line—you would find that they are all virtually identical. This represents the ultimate evolution of the printable concept: the direct materialization of a digital design. This includes the time spent learning how to use a complex new device, the time spent on regular maintenance and cleaning, and, most critically, the time spent dealing with a product when it breaks. I had to define a primary palette—the core, recognizable colors of the brand—and a secondary palette, a wider range of complementary colors for accents, illustrations, or data visualizations.
