An organizational chart, or org chart, provides a graphical representation of a company's internal structure, clearly delineating the chain of command, reporting relationships, and the functional divisions within the enterprise. It's the NASA manual reborn as an interactive, collaborative tool for the 21st century. I know I still have a long way to go, but I hope that one day I'll have the skill, the patience, and the clarity of thought to build a system like that for a brand I believe in. We have seen how it leverages our brain's preference for visual information, how the physical act of writing on a chart forges a stronger connection to our goals, and how the simple act of tracking progress on a chart can create a motivating feedback loop.
