Railroad Signal Chart
Railroad Signal Chart. The printable is a tool of empowerment, democratizing access to information, design, and even manufacturing. In its essence, a chart is a translation, converting the abstract language of numbers into the intuitive, visceral language of vision. You walk around it, you see it from different angles, you change its color and fabric with a gesture. Why that typeface? It's not because I find it aesthetically pleasing, but because its x-height and clear letterforms ensure legibility for an older audience on a mobile screen.
