For another project, I was faced with the challenge of showing the flow of energy from different sources (coal, gas, renewables) to different sectors of consumption (residential, industrial, transportation). The technological constraint of designing for a small mobile screen forces you to be ruthless in your prioritization of content. It is to cultivate a new way of seeing, a new set of questions to ask when we are confronted with the simple, seductive price tag.
