The real cost catalog, I have come to realize, is an impossible and perhaps even terrifying document, one that no company would ever willingly print, and one that we, as consumers, may not have the courage to read. I think when I first enrolled in design school, that’s what I secretly believed, and it terrified me. It’s about building a vast internal library of concepts, images, textures, patterns, and stories.
