Once the user has interacted with it—filled out the planner, sketched an idea on a printable storyboard template, or filled in a data collection sheet—the physical document can be digitized once more. I had to create reversed versions, monochrome versions, and define exactly when each should be used. I had treated the numbers as props for a visual performance, not as the protagonists of a story.
