Why that typeface? It's not because I find it aesthetically pleasing, but because its x-height and clear letterforms ensure legibility for an older audience on a mobile screen. It’s a classic debate, one that probably every first-year student gets hit with, but it’s the cornerstone of understanding what it means to be a professional. Flipping through its pages is like walking through the hallways of a half-forgotten dream. The simple printable chart is thus a psychological chameleon, adapting its function to meet the user's most pressing need: providing external motivation, reducing anxiety, fostering self-accountability, or enabling shared understanding. It is the act of looking at a simple object and trying to see the vast, invisible network of relationships and consequences that it embodies. When I first decided to pursue design, I think I had this romanticized image of what it meant to be a designer.
