It’s a return to the idea of the catalog as an edited collection, a rejection of the "everything store" in favor of a smaller, more thoughtful selection. A 3D bar chart is a common offender; the perspective distorts the tops of the bars, making it difficult to compare their true heights. Use an eraser to lift graphite for highlights and layer graphite for shadows.
