The goal of testing is not to have users validate how brilliant your design is. Beyond the basics, advanced techniques open up even more creative avenues. A study chart addresses this by breaking the intimidating goal into a series of concrete, manageable daily tasks, thereby reducing anxiety and fostering a sense of control. Many times, you'll fall in love with an idea, pour hours into developing it, only to discover through testing or feedback that it has a fundamental flaw. As I began to reluctantly embrace the template for my class project, I decided to deconstruct it, to take it apart and understand its anatomy, not just as a layout but as a system of thinking.
