The journey of the printable, from the first mechanically reproduced texts to the complex three-dimensional objects emerging from modern machines, is a story about the democratization of information, the persistence of the physical in a digital age, and the ever-expanding power of humanity to manifest its imagination. These platforms often come with features such as multimedia integration, customizable templates, and privacy settings, allowing for a personalized journaling experience. The people who will use your product, visit your website, or see your advertisement have different backgrounds, different technical skills, different motivations, and different contexts of use than you do. Looking back now, my initial vision of design seems so simplistic, so focused on the surface.
