Techniques such as screen printing, embroidery, and digital printing allow for the creation of complex and vibrant patterns that define contemporary fashion trends. The algorithm can provide the scale and the personalization, but the human curator can provide the taste, the context, the storytelling, and the trust that we, as social creatures, still deeply crave. Chinese porcelain, with its delicate blue-and-white patterns, and Japanese kimono fabrics, featuring seasonal motifs, are prime examples of how patterns were integrated into everyday life.
